The REC Impact Space in the J/K building of the Roeterseiland Campus comprises several meeting and event spaces. Each space can be rented by UvA associations, centers, partners, renters, as well as external parties.
Our spaces are perfect for organizing any kind of events from workshops and informative sessions to meetings with your team, external partners, potential clients and more.

Coffee Star Espresso Bar at the JK Building is where you can find local, fair trade, and sustainable delights. Elevate your events with their catering service, offering customizable products featuring fresh sandwiches, specialty cookies, soft drinks, coffee, tea, and invigorating smoothies. Let Coffee Star be the highlight of your gatherings!

CREA café
CREA Café is an industrial-chic café bar nestled at the heart of the campus. Renowned for its inviting 'Berlin' living room atmosphere, CREA can provide you with extensive catering options, featuring a diverse lunch menu encompassing sandwiches, toasted sandwiches, homemade soups, and various snacks. Enjoy delightful coffee, organic soft drinks, local beer and wine. In the summer, you can enjoy their terrace overlooking the Nieuwe Achtergracht.
