This page presents information on student initiatives which connect students with external partners on various topics, ranging from education to international relations. With everything from student advisory organisations to passionate student associations, get in touch with student initiatives to meet talented, motivated and passionate UvA students.

  • The Amsterdam Student Investment Fund (ASIF) supports and invests in student-led start-ups in Amsterdam Metropolitan Area. Affiliated with the UvA and VU, ASIF has many partners and is an excellent way to kick-start your innovative idea. Students and recent graduates can benefit from the funding and support of the ASIF community.

  • Enactus is an international non-profit organization connecting students, higher education, and business leaders. It comprises more than 500 students in the Netherlands, supporting each other in setting up social enterprises. At Enactus, you meet an active and supportive community of students and benefit from professional input and knowledge during workshops. The start-up should be a social enterprise and participate in tackling social, economic, and ecological problems.

  • SIB Amsterdam is the Dutch United Nations Student Association in Amsterdam. SIB Amsterdam provides social, intellectual & self-development opportunities for students interested in international relations. All year round, lectures, visits of international institutions, debates and travels are organised around international relations.

If you are an institution or organisation interested in meeting passionate and motivated UvA students around this subject, contact SIB Amsterdam.

  • The StudentWeetRaad consulting office is a learning community and advisory organisation within POW (Pedagogical Sciences, Educational Sciences and the University Pabo) in the Roeterseiland Campus.

StudentWeetRaad's motivated team, under the guidance of lecturers, work on educational and pedagogical issues given by external organisations and ultimately deliver advice to the partner. Partner organisations and talented students learn much from each other and often create long-lasting relationships.

  • Room For Discussion is the interview platform of the University of Amsterdam, located in the Roeterseiland Campus. Room For Discussions' students organise weekly interviews with influential external actors (professors, entrepreneurs, economists, politicians, philosophers, CEOs and journalists) to discuss contemporary economic and political topics.
